Responsible for handling routine medication related activities in accordance with hospital policies and regulations. a medication expert in all assigned areas, functioned as a consultant to other health care professionals and managed medication therapy across the continuum of care. planned, implemented and operated drug monitoring and utilization programs as assigned. provided high quality patient care using evidenced based medicine to ensure safe,effective and efficient therapy.performed and oversaw production of sterile compounding. processed electronic medication orders. Evaluated medication orders for appropriateness,incompatabilities and drug interactions. provided accurate and cost effective drug information to health care providers and patients. Active in such areas as outpatient pharmacy, inpatient pharmacy and automated drug distribution systems,procurement,consultation,stock control,bulk compounding,prepackaging and storage.I was assigned special reports, projects and problem matters requiring an overall or specialized knowledge of the trends,problems and other matters affecting usual pharmacy operation.
