Daily Duties at Jupiter Medical Center, Inc. (Jmc):
- Directed the management of the medical center and affiliates budgeting process. - Analyzed new lines of business and prepared corresponding business plans (proforma, revenue & payor analysis and capital needs). - Directly involved with the month-end revenue & contractual analysis, as well as the overall expense review compared to budget and prior years. - Analyzed budget vs. actual expenses for the medical center, pavilion, home health agency, foundation and physician practices on a monthly basis which was used to prepare the monthly Finance Committee and Board packages. - Attended the monthly Finance Committee Meeting and supported the Chief Financial Officer in explaining financial statements and variances. - Involved with the preparation of the annual cost report, HCCB report, and 990's. - Responsible for the preparation of all tangible personal property returns and exemptions by the deadlines established by the taxing authorities. - Coordinated all insurance activities for the medical center and its affiliated companies including property, malpractice, directors and officers and all other insurance related matters. - Facilitated the bi-weekly and daily reporting of hospital FTE’s compared to benchmarks and completed yearly benchmarking studies against similar facilities within like peer groups.
