Daily Duties at Cloeren Inc:

Led all aspects of technology operations for this international manufacturing firm with 5 US offices as well as multiple global satellite locations. Supported IT systems for 125 US employees and provided technical business process expertise to global team members. Documented current technology and researched new solutions to improve functionality and reliability. Wrote specs, reviewed existing contracts and directed changes in the local network, the WAN connectivity, and the local processes. Directed a team of 3 in multiple IT projects including the installation of ne w servers, email software, enterprise anti-virus, spam filtering, and content filtering to update the security, stabilize the network and expand bandwidth.  Designed, tested and implemented a disaster recover y plan which proved to be successful when the main headquarters and data center were hit by a large-scale hurricane in 2008. Cloeren sustained no data loss and all services were restored in record time.  Replaced outdated systems by upgrading Windows and Linux servers. Streamlined systems and lowered possibility of equipment failure. Led the de sign and purchase of $200,000 in new equipment for a 2nd infrastructure upgrade prior to resignation.  Directed a team of 3 in the installation of new firewall s throughout North American locations.
