Daily Duties at Ld Services:

Recruited to design and manage specialty projects aimed at improving and streamlining IT functions. Redesign existing capabilities and build new functionality for this multi-company management firm servicing over 400 employees. Design, implement, and enhance network infrastructure for 36 locations with vastly different networking requirements. Produce documentation for upgrades and push out to remote users in order to streamline implementation. Manage team providing remote Internet support on behalf of the help desk.  Researched disaster recovery solutions and selected and implemented a combination local/cloud-based backup solution with hourly images saved to the local d evice. The system allows single file or bare metal restore of data to non-similar hardware in case of disaster.  Remote offices were experiencing timeouts and disconnects in printing and data on AS/400 sessions directly connected across the Internet. Implemented a site-to-site VPN solution, which stabilized the system and eliminated drop offs. Upgraded the enterprise AV system with GFI Vipre. Previous system was infected with malware and was not a truly Enterprise solution. GFI Vipre has met and exceeded all the design specifications
