Daily Duties at Va Medical Center:

Leadership in the application of the Nursing process to provide quality care to outpatient veterans seeking Specialty service with Pulmonary service/clinic.Utilizes creative thinking, strong organizational skills, and customer service skills to work with patients in meeting their needs. Is responsible for the consult process in ensuring Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine consults are scheduled in a timely manner. Coordinates appointments to the Specialty Clinic. Follows up by answering or returning telephone calls to assist in the coordination of their care. Demonstrates and promotes professional and personal integrity. Provides care in a concerned, and compassionate manner, using strong interpersonal skills. Acknowledges and respects each patient. Interacts with patients and their family members in a courteous manner. Is responsible for creating and fostering an atmosphere of mutual acceptance and trust.
