Auditor I(Senior Auditor) was responsible for auditing businesses for unemployment and disability insurance. The objective of these examinations was to determine if the businesses were subject to the law and to determine the payroll tax liability. Also, I was responsible for determining the correct classification of employment(employee vs independent contractor under each examination. I was responsible for working on cases of extreme complexity and considerable difficulty. Also, I trained and managed employees that held lower auditor titles. The management phase included the review of their cases.
