Daily Duties at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center:
Provide needed services to all JHBMC employees and their dependents. Duties : diagnosis/assessment of mental health issues;crisis intervention when need;referral for services appropriate to problem including short-term counseling. Responded to Human Resources for any emergency/crisis involing individual, groups or department. Crises involved: assessment of individuals exhibiting problematic/dangerous behavior;questions regarding employee fitness for duty with questions of presence of mental health or substance issues. Conflict resolution regarding employees, supervisor/employee, employees and management.Responded to critical incidents involving death of employees or patients- crisis intervention, griefcounselingto individual groups along with f/u monitoring. . Assessment/teatment of employees/management re question of violation of policy/ procefures and issue of termination. This involved meeeting/intervening w/ employee/supervisor/co-worker, management and Human Resources to clarity issues, advocate for employye and provide support/sevices if outcome was termination.Assessmnt/diagnosis of employee to determine: mentalhealth/medical substaceabuse or otherpsychosocial issues that mayinterfere with employees functioning
