Daily Duties at St Mary Medical Center:
I worked in the Emergency Department as both Charge Nurse and staff, as Charge I was responsible for the everyday challenge of an ED, staffing, assigning patients to rooms, help staff with critical patients, one on one with the ED doctors, kept them informed of changes with the patients or critical patients coming in, kept in constant contact with the Supervisor for needs of admitted patients, control ambulance flow, triage flow, fast track flow and the main ED, relief of meal breaks, discharging and admitting patients efficiently and in a timely manner. Notify operator of code blue, stroke alert, STEMI's. As a staff member, responsible for all age group patient care, including admitting, discharging and housing admitted patients, able to successfully triage, do fast track, regular ED beds and trauma rooms, able to care for all types of emergencies ie, trauma, stroke, STEMI, surgical, obstetric, infant, toddler, adolescent,adult, geriatric, renal, med/surg, ICU, telemetry, monitors, IV drips, all lines, intubation, chest tubes, foley,, NG, ortho, sutures/staples, wound care, behavorial emergencies, suicide, viloent, overdoses, death, hospice care, pain management
