Daily Duties at Science Applications International Corporation (Saic):

I was selected to become a member of this team shortly after September 9, 2001 and joined a team of 20+ intelligence analysts at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA. I was one of 4 individuals that received and reported on a special dataset. These data were of significant intelligence value and not shared with the entire team but I analyzed and reported directly to forward deployed U.S. Army and Marine Corps Intelligence units. We were a diverse group of imagery analysts (IMINT), geospatial analysts (GEOINT) and measurement and signature analysts (MASINT). I supported multiple Combatant Commands (COCOMS) to include Pacific Command, Special Operations Command, Central Command, Africa Command and others with analysis of special datasets. We were, on occasion, a 24/7 operation supporting our customer base. I was a member of a special team working with these special datasets during the early stages of the newly fronted War on Terrorism. Additionally, I would obtain other unclassified data for inclusion in our support to forward deployed units. Also, during this period I continued my support as a research meteorologist to the former Armed Forces Medical Intelligence Command (AFMIC), now renamed the National Center for Medical Intelligence (NCMI). I continued to maintain and upgrade a rack of seven(7) quad core processors with Unix/Linux updates. This system was used to generate multiple numerical weather prediction simulations of areas of released hazardous material.
