Daily Duties at Interbank Corporation:

Analyzed potential acquisitions in the banking sector throughout Latin America. Hired, trained and directed a group of analysts to assume new functions. Maintained relationships with the bank’s largest international shareholders. Directed all activities of the equity research department of the bank’s brokerage subsidiary - including maintaining relationships with fund managers worldwide. Coordinated a team to work on privatizations, mergers and acquisitions, as well as public and private offerings of debt and equity for Peruvian companies. Advised the bank on its own acquisitions/investments in the banking and telecommunications sectors. Negotiated a contract to advise GTE on the potential acquisition of the Peruvian telephone companies in conjunction with Merrill Lynch (GTE offered $800 million). Assisted in the due diligence and valuation of the acquisition of Interbank, the fourth largest Peruvian bank, which was privatized in 1994.
