Daily Duties at United States Steel Corporation:

Manage three Process Coordinators and seven Shift Managers within the Coating Packaging and Warehouse operations. Responsibilities include administering the corporate safety program, ensuring environmental compliance with local, state and federal laws, managing quality and throughput. Have direct P&L oversight and spending responsibility for the coating, recoiling and warehouse operations. Work directly with the Division Manager, developing and implementing the annual production business plan and managing monthly AP Spending. Routinely communicate with corporate purchasing group, coordinating the release and delivery of key commodity purchases. Visit customer facilities to investigate product claims and formulate internal corrective actions. Negotiate and interface with vendor and contract service providers to establish contracts and plan scheduled outage work. Develop and present cost savings initiatives to Plant Manager and General Manager each month in cross-divisional cost meetings.
