Daily Duties at Step Up Ministry:
As a Veteran Specialist, I provided a wide variety of services to meet the particular needs of the unemployed and homeless veteran community. That included providing emergency shelter services; case management; employment opportunities, such as job-fairs. As a Veteran Specialist, I established community relationships with other non-profit organizations for direct needed services. Built collaborative efforts with VA Social Workers to assess and address client service needs, and created a trusting relationship and gain knowledge of the client’s background and circumstances through frequent and informal conversation.
