Daily Duties at Interstate Hotels And Resorts Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel:
Serve as a consultant and coach to Managers, Supervisors and employees in all Human Resources related activities. Counsel Management in addressing performance issues. Coordinate & conduct trainings and New Hire Orientation. Communicate and educate associates on employee benefit programs. Act as intermediary with the insurance and retirement plan administrators. Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of various employee relations programs (social activities, rallies and employee of the month ceremonies) Resolve and assist in employee investigations, conduct counseling and terminations sessions. Recruit, screen, perform reference checks and coordinate department interviews for hourly candidates. Coordinate background checks, and new hire paperwork. Process employment verification forms and respond to written inquires regarding unemployment compensation and workers compensation claims. Assisted our corporate HR team on new Hotel transitions by conducting New Hire Orientation trainings to the Spanish speaking associates. (Marriott- Springfield, Red Roof Inn-Washington DC)
