Daily Duties at Kaplan College:

Prior to the campus closing, responsibilities included supervising all aspects of the Career Services (CS) Dept. which included general office supervision, supervision of employees and ensuring the Career Services Dept. remained within its budgetary guidelines and compliant for accrediting bodies. Organized, communicated, and assigned daily tasks for each Career Services Associate (CSA). Completed monthly feedback reports for each CSA as well as completing any disciplinary actions when necessary. Planned and implemented innovative marketing strategies to identify potential employers and successfully secured employers such as Octapharma, Naval Medical Center-Portsmouth and others. Hired and trained CS support staff. Cultivated graduates with additional skills to procure employment by improving their speaking skills and professional appearance. Created a volunteer recruitment campaign for students to gain valuable work related experience through volunteering. Created and organized job fairs on campus, attended outside job fair events, established engagement activity program where employers spoke to students on a monthly basis as well as interviewed students on campus.
