Daily Duties at Waigreen Drug Company:

Responsible for all aspects of pharmacy operations with the store including inventory, personnel,and security with emphasis on customer relations. Counselling patients and customers while protecting confidential health and drug information and answering their questions.Maintain inventory levels by following defined order practices from ware house and approved outside vendors. Utilize Drug Utilization reviews and Drug Usage reports to adjust shelf order bases. Maintain perpertual inventory of schedule Cii drugs. Comply to all security/loss prevention procedures. Access , imput and retrieve information from computer. Obtain needed information for neww prescription and refils via telephone/fax. Fill prescriptions and compound prescription as per doctors orders on the prescription.Check in and put away all drug orders including schedule Cii drugs.Retrieve and file prescriptionin appropriate files including schedule Cii drugs. Pull out dated drugs, damaged drugs and recalled merchandise and prepare them for returns to ware house. Complete Third party rejects. Maintan daily and weekly reports. I case of dispensing incidents follow company procedures;notification , reportcompletion. Communicate and interact with physicians,dentists, nurses and others in health related field to better serve customer. Ensure compliance with all company procedures and federal and state laws and regulations. Coordinate, implement the training and devlopement of pharmacy technicians, interns,and pharmacists.perform and document therapeutic interventions as appropriate. Provide supervision of immediate technical staff to Ensure that all tasks and assignments are completed in timely manner. Maintain the pharmacy department, Fill pharmacy supplies, vaccum the floor, face, dust, wipe counter tops, clean the sink, and settle area; Clean the Baker cells units and or parratta machine and empty trash.Establish, coordinate and maintain work schedule to best the need of customer and in accordance with budgeted pay role hours. Help cover when needed duringtime of illness and vacations.
