Daily Duties at Nv Energy Ft Churchill Power Station:
Oversee all operations and maintenance team (staff of 28) activities for a 230Mw power station in a safe, and environmentally conscious manner Develop 10 year strategic plan for power station in coordination with other company departments - engineering, finance, supply chain, and transmission Develop and manage $6.6M annual O&M and capital budget for Fort Churchill Power Station Insure all mandated training is provided to plant personnel Perform monthly safety audits including general observations, safety drills, or safety procedure reviews Conduct employee interviews, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures when required Coach/mentor/engage employees Establish and administer clear, concise annual workforce goals and objectives Collaboratively and courteously resolve collective bargaining agreement issues Routinely monitor work management key performance indicators (KPI) and direct improvement when and where applicable Submit weekly plant performance report to department vice president itemizing personnel training status, unit availability, unit outage(s), safety, environmental, or regulatory concerns, and human performance initiatives status
