Daily Duties at Aetna:

Receive and review requests for referrals, diagnostic testing, inpatient admissions, outpatient procedures, home health care services, and durable equipment and supplies. Assess pre-authorization requests with complexities falling outside of the normal authorization protocol and guidelines. Review medical records and clinical findings to assess for medical necessity. Review plans to ensure the requested service was covered benefit. Complete Medical Director review sheets for Medical Director approval or denial.
