Daily Duties at Anglo Gold Ashanti Ltd:
• Hold responsibility for development and management of $19M annual operating budget. • Direct, train and mentor activities of metallurgical team. • Lead a team of 5 direct reports and 145 staff overall. • Champion overall plant and safety and chair weekly and monthly safety communication meetings. Ensure compliance with all safety, health and environmental regulations. • Provide technical metallurgical input to development and implementation of mine and business plans to support production objectives and optimize financial results. • Develop plans to achieve optimum metallurgical performance in gold production through monitoring, test work, procedural changes, process control and innovation. • Create metallurgical reports for senior management. • Liaise closely with mining, geology and maintenance teams to ensure maximum metallurgical performance. • Identify opportunities for improving processes and productivity.
