Daily Duties at Visiting Physicians Assoc/Usmm/Centene Health:

As the Director of Strategic Planning I was a direct report to both the COO and the CEO of USMM/VPA. Over the course of 10 years the organization grew from producing a Gross Revenue of $17 million in 2004 to $220 million in 2013. During my tenure with USMM/VPA I was responsible for all project management while at the same time maintaining my designated position within the organization.  Served as the corporate Director of Strategic Planning for the Physician House-call Operations component of the nation’s largest physician house-call organization. The Company provides in-home Diagnostics, Radiology, Podiatry, DME, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Hospice and Home Health services to more than 60,000 patients in 11 states.  Responsible for profit and loss and financial oversight of all lines of businesses including Medicare Fee For Service Physician House-call Visits, Medicare Incentive Plans, Medicare Shares Savings Demonstration Projects (Independence at Home and DMC Pioneer ACO).  Management experience with over 70 staff members, with recruitment, hiring, firing and performance evaluation responsibility  Managed and operationalized the various Incentive Programs such as: E-Prescribe, Stage 1 Medicare/ Medicaid Meaningful Use and PQRS.  Developed analytical tools for both the EHR and Practice Management system to support the attestations and filings for the various programs. Trained providers and practice staff on documentation requirements for all current and future programs.  Responsible for supporting the company’s strategic goals throughout the Physician House-call division covering 34 office locations, serving more than 60,000 patients and 1,000 employees.  Managed, in partnership with CMS, the nation’s largest Shared Savings Demonstration project in the field of House-call medicine.  Responsible for preparing an $80+ million operating budget annually (VPA service line).  Established all Physician House-call Operations KPI reports, including a weekly RVU productivity report monitoring the performance of all providers in our 200+ physician practice.  Developed Centralized Scheduling departments for both House Call, Radiology and Diagnostic service lines.
