Daily Duties at Old Republic Home Protection, Inc.:
Responsible for establishing the overall vision and strategic direction for the company. Responsible for assessing all departments across the company in order to stream-line operations, increase efficiencies through process change and introduce technology where appropriate to achieve better economies of scale and mitigate the effects of a "down" housing market and economy. Responsible for all operational and IT/technology functions and processes across the company including Claims Management, Call Center, Contractor Relations, MIS, Software Development, Accounting and Facilities. Responsible for a $95M claims budget (including forecasting at a company, state, product, and trade level) and overall profitability of the company. Chaired and reported at monthly company-wide leadership meeting to report revenue, profitability, claims, overall expenses, strategic direction and progress toward goals. Identified issues for sub-committees to address.. Lead and directed a network of 6500 contractors nation-wide to provide quality service while controlling costs. Initiated "Fireside Chats", a vehicle to give the remote outside sales force a communication vehicle to deal with sales and support. Also a avenue to garner competitor information from field sources. Initiated and formalized the IT Steering Committee for new project submission reviews, project approvals and prioritization. Published results monthly to entire company to allow for more open communication. Developed approval criteria based upon Return-on-Investment, needs of the business and strategic advantage.
