Daily Duties at West Suburban Medical Center:
Staff RN for Surgery with 3 years exclusively in the Preoperative Holding Room. Transferred to the Birthing Center December 1989: Staff RN for Postpartum. Both areas: Preceptor for new staff, worked with student nurses, attended staff meetings, served on several committees, attended continuing education seminars, current with CEU's, and worked in an OB/GYN office. I continued and headed the volunteer program for holding and rocking drug addicted babies, taught breastfeeding classes, did the unit tours, represented our unit for OB Rounds, assisted in patient satisfaction rounds and was a member of the Breastfeeding Journal Club.
