Daily Duties at Union Bank Na:

I managed the Investigative Unit of the Financial Intelligence Unit, supervising 5 Team Leads and 30 Investigators. I was one of the management team leaders in developing the BSA/AML Program so the Bank had the US Government's Cease and Desist Order of 2006 lifted. We investigated transactions, clients and counterparties, reporting suspicious activity to the government via SARs. I was the hiring manager for the Unit, hiring Investigators in San Francisco, Oakland, Brea and Tempe AZ. I managed the Bank's USA Patriot Act 314 (a)&(b) Program, and managed the subsequent investigations. I managed investigations regarding OFAC violations. I manged the Unit's reporting to executive management and the Board. I served as the Bank's integration manager for BSA/AML Investigations during the acquisition of two banks. I wrote extensive policy and procedures. I was the point of contact for OCC Examinations of the Bank's BSA Investigations Program. I managed the parent company's (Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi) trainee program where managers from Japan were sent to the US to learn BSA/AML.
