Daily Duties at New York County Health Services Review Organization:

Worked with New York State's Human Resource Administartion in reviewing admission packets submitted by Vendors for home care services. Visited applicants in their homes with the Vendors to verify the need for home care services and to determine the level of support required. This was a trial program. NYC hoped that a nurse's input would assist the Judge in deciding if the appellant was fit for work or not. As a clinical expert witness for New York City's Division of Fair Hearings - reviewed all relevant medical documents submitted by indiiduals contesting their employability status related to medical issues. Discussed the merits of NYC's case with a Fair Hearing Representative. Interviewed the appellant about his/her medical issues and reviewed any new documentation provided by appellant during the hearing.
