Daily Duties at Lennar Homes:

Responsible for the division’s accounting functions including development of project performance plans, annual business plans, long term strategic plans, monthly reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, joint venture accounting and daily operations. Coordinated internal and independent audits of the division’s accounting records and all joint venture audits. Directed staff and consultants in the evaluation and due diligence process of acquisition targets to ensure they met risk and return objectives. Provided analytical support and strategic analysis of dozens of new land acquisition opportunities each year. Developed and implemented financial strategies for the division’s land development operations enabling delivery of 800 – 1000 homesites per year on minimal equity investment. Worked with attorneys and land sellers to create acquisition agreements acceptable to all parties. Managed property specific lines of credit in excess of $200 mm used for development projects. Managed site development, indirect construction and G&A budgets in excess of $100 mm per year. Directed a team of staff and consultants which was successful in issuing $170 mm of public bonds used for land development activities. Assured compliance with the division’s banking and joint venture obligations. Worked with corporate tax personnel to assure timely filing of joint venture tax returns.
