Daily Duties at Ashley County Medical Center:

Provides assistance to the IT Director for the EMR software CPSI. I diagnose and repair both hardware and software issues which interfere with the computer's ability to function at peak performance. I offer customer support and training, install cabling, troubleshoot Internet connectivity, effectively remove/prevent virus infection as well as any type of malware issues and perform various other duties. Manages domain through Active Directory.  Troubleshoots all CPSI issues that the hospital ran into.  Maintains and troubleshoots 250+ node LAN.  Installed WLAN AP’s for nurses and doctors wireless tablets.  Saved company money on installation of 3 Clinic’s EMR implementations, which e-MD’s normally does.  Installed, implemented, maintains, and troubleshoots Ashley County Medical Center’s 3 clinics(10 Providers) new EMR system of e-MD’s. Keeps the system’s database up to date with Service Packs, E-fixes, drug updates, HCPCS updates, and SQL scripts.  Installed, maintains, and troubleshoots Ashley County Medical Center’s Home Health EMR system of Carefacts. Keeps the system’s database up to date with all of the latest updates for the server and medication database.  Assisted in obtaining “Meaningful Use” in CPSI and e-MD’s which is basically using electronic health records to improve the quality of health care. This allowed the hospital’s EMR system and the Clinic’s EMR system to bring the hospital a total of approximately $ 1,800,000.00 in government monetary incentives.
