Daily Duties at The Hartford:

Profit and Loss accountability for ~ $240 million in earned premium; granted responsibility of home state “CT” after successfully leading, product in ME, VT, NH, RI, & MA. Successfully negotiated numerous product changes, including significant rate increases with the respected Insurance Departments for the states under my management in the Northeast Region. Successfully implemented 50 tiered auto class plan in CT leading to improved growth and profitability. Mitigated homeowners’ loss exposure through diligent catastrophe management activities along Atlantic Coast. Closely monitored competitor actions in my states and took appropriate steps to leverage competitor knowledge to grow profitably. Responsible for both Direct AARP and Agency class plans.
