Daily Duties at Admedia Fcb:

My next main job after teaching was a French and English translator with an advertising/ marketing agency in Accra, Ghana. I translated media campaigns and Live presenter mentions (LPM) for Emirates Airlines and a few other companies.The translations were used in four west African countries namely, Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire and Senegal. However, my roles expanded to public relations officer and client service executive where I planned, developed and implemented public relations strategies. As a PRO, I always exchanged emails and phone calls to update clients on the progress of work and any questions or concern that they might have. Researched, wrote and distributed press releases: As a PRO, I conducted surveys to know which media houses were being patronized the most in order to choose the one that would best put my clients in the spotlight. Getting my clients in the spotlight is crucial because it is one sure way to increase in patronage and also clear their names depending on what their goal is. I encouraged clients to do press releases because of its great advantage and yet cheap nature. Collated and analyzed media coverage with my team during our weekly meetings. This was a very important aspect of my job because understanding the media landscape concerning our client's industry, helps us project and position them accordingly and effectively. When this is done right; the rewards are mutually beneficial. I maintained good relationship with journalists in order to secure good press coverage I also made sure everything was done on time so as to avoid any delays especially when it involved the press as it's always on schedule.
