Daily Duties at Sonora Quest Laboratories:
Transferred from Banner Support Service to spearhead the data maintenance and operation of the Stock Clerk MIS for Materials Management. Quickly learned and gained operational work-flow of the Stock Clerk MIS to analyze and write Standard Operating Procedures for improved operations throughout the department. Developed, created and wrote multiple reports used for tracking and maintaining key data files within the MIS. Implemented and enhanced the ODBC interface to enable real-time data mining for ad hoc reports and mass uploading capability as required. Provided product analysis used for budgetary planning and system wide standardization to achieve the improved cost efficiency of several hundred thousand dollars in procurement expenditures. Analyzed and established criteria for data entry with regards to the information keyed into the data files and implemented the cleanup of the Stock Clerk MIS using these criteria in preparation for the migration to the Lawson MMIS. Improved the efficiency of Stock Clerk MIS to increase procurement process performance and ease the Purchasing Buyers work load. Lead the implementation of GHX electronic data interface for procurement transmitting and order processing. Maintained and monitored all vital data and analysis for continued operational efficiency, wrote and implemented a key MIS script to copy/archive data files transmitted to GHX. Provided supervisory support with guidance, training and support to Purchasing Buyers and Materials Management department on new processes, improved reports and software upgrades.
