• Served as internal and external point person for audit requests including SOX requirements; managed audit performance of 25 state Department of Insurance (DOI) facilities. • Utilized analytical methods and software to identify potential compliance breaches and recommended corrective courses of action to best ensure total compliance to federal/SOX requirements. • Managed, organized, and facilitated weekly executive and credit committee meetings. • Recruited, interviewed, hired, trained, mentored, managed, and sets salaries/bonuses for staff. • Completed fraud investigations and implemented risk/fraud mitigation strategies to protect corporate interests. • Advised management on necessary change initiatives and works cross-functionally with individual business units to implement change as needed to remove obstacles to compliance and mitigate risk factors. • Provided internal stakeholders and customers with direction on compliance, audit, and review issues while enforcing government and corporate compliance standards.
