Daily Duties at Bcn Laboratories:

Read plates (cfu counts). There were 200+ plates to be read daily. Generated and faxed laboratory result reports. Nearly 20 result reports were written and faxed daily. Prepared and processed samples for microbial limits testing and identifications. Samples were received and checked against the chain of custody. Samples were prepared using serial dilutions, stomaching, and or vacuum filtration procedures. Identifications were performed using a chemical based phenotypic Identification system. Maintained laboratory records and supplies; Recorded lab temps and air density plates results daily. Ordered lab supplies (i.e. pipettes, dehydrated media). Prepared and sterility checked media for lab use (i.e. Agars, Diluents). Maintained laboratory records (data and instrument logbooks) Prepared media
