Daily Duties at Allstate/Encompass Insurance :

Review and validate claims, handle personal line first and 3rd party claims in the Liability Auto Department (LDU). Worked with attorneys and medical providers to expose appropriate coverage on casualty claims to facilitate appropriate settlement. Experienced in early recognition and exposure of bodily injury (BI), as well as monitoring personal injury protection (PIP) treatment to avoid fraudulent claims. Serve as an arbitration forums panelist on a monthly basis. Prepare, analyze and present numerous arbitration packages in a concise manner resulting in favorable decisions Investigate and negotiate comparative negligence claims and fairly settle 3rd party auto liability claims including total losses, subrogation demands, in compliance with state regulations. Able to interpret and apply concepts of law, contracts, case law, company policies and procedures. Make same day contact on new claims, which helps to impact severity, and timely settlement. Provide viable information on status of claims, identify injuries, and evaluate the appropriate handling procedure in compliance with state regulation. Actively involved in group conference discussion on claim handling procedures. Develop and implement action plans to improve results. Managed active diary. Provide management with trends and analysis reports. Control cost by monitoring active diary on rentals. Responsible for subrogation referrals for personal injuries and automobile claims. Develop and implement processes and procedures to assist in reaching auto liability and subrogation goals. Generate active diary target reports to assist in monitoring pending and closed-out claims.
