Tax Consultant – Manager • 7/2011-Present Charged with leading, managing, and coaching team of service representatives in providing exemplary real and personal property portfolio guidance for industrial and commercial clients, including innovative tax planning and well-researched, practical approach recommendations. Demonstrate strong analytical skills in reconciling fixed asset reports to client’s general ledger and client accrual account to accounts payable ledger. Design and execute range of special projects to streamline operations and identify cost saving opportunities. Orchestrate full range of operations for engagement proposals, including task identification and hour, cost, and fee budgets; communicate cost analysis/work plans to senior leadership to aid in business development decision making. Guide tax calendar reviews, monitoring critical internal/external due dates and account information. Review staff performance on fix asset classification and balance of cost discrepancies by conducting technical reviews of staffs’ return and work papers. Enhance client’s financial reporting by preparing estimated property tax for bookings as their accruals. Process property tax appeals, performing targeted research of relevant cases to support client’s position. Calculate proposed property values by comparing client’s property values to market data and analyzing income streams. Write technical memorandums for internal/external use. Leverage strong MS Excel skills for reconciling reports using Vlookups, Countif, and various formulas.
