Daily Duties at University Of Florida Health Science Center :
Recruited by hospital leadership to lead all hospital night-shift operations. Direct staff (of 20 direct and over 2000 indirect) to oversee all hospital functions for a major 755-bed facility. Responsible for workforce planning and scheduling, record keeping; direct preparation for JCAHO surveys. Plan, oversee major capital improvements including EMR. Sit on Best Practice, Quality and Risk, Facilities Improvement, Policy Review and Grievance committees. Manage all of the day-to-day administrative tasks required to keep the department running smoothly, focusing on the business aspects of operation. These duties can include budgeting, ordering supplies, understanding the financial background of the office, marketing, handling public relations, fulfilling human resources role - including hiring staff, creating procedures for dealing with clients/patients, overseeing staff
