Daily Duties at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University):

Reviewing and ensuring passing of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly entries within a prescribed framework of time for efficient closing at the Head Office Preparing information for Auditors as per their request. Effectively analyzing and reconciling balance sheet accounts & resolving any reconciling issues in a timely basis. Overall Supervision of the Accounts Department- 9 people reported to me. Member of the Executive Committee  Management Reporting with analysis and commentary.  Budgetary exercises and monitoring  Coordination with External auditors and regulatory authorities  Overall Supervision of the Accounts Department Reporting to the Rector of the University Member of the Executive Committee Monthly Management Reporting with analysis and commentary. Budgetary exercises and monitoring Coordination with External auditors for the annual audit/US AID Audit of the University and presentation to the Audit Committee and the Board. Review of reports submitted to US Aid relating to funding provided by them to the University. Approval of loans to staff in coordination of the Human Resources Department. Review and approval of salary sheets and payments to the staff. Review of daily, monthly cash flow catering to present and future needs of the University. Overall Supervision of the Accounts Department- 9 people reported to me.
