Daily Duties at University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center Children's Hospital:

• Worked with Legacy systems in regards to new interfaces, issues with existing interfaces and troubleshooting issues in the Production and Development domains. I was also involved in the spec meetings for new interfaces and all testing that is needed during implementation of interfaces. • Represented Children’s Hospital at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Work Group and standardization meetings between CORE, Community and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. • Was the analyst responsible for the Event Codes and Event Sets. I was also responsible for the standardization of Event Set hierarchy between CORE, Community and Children’s Hospital. • Involved in the Alpha iNet project for Cerner • Involved in the following systems interfacing into Cerner’s Powerchart : ADT, patient care orders, IDX Radiology order and results, MUSE, ECHO, Dictaphone and E-Signature, PathNet, Cerner’s iStat, Mysis orders and results , IDX orders and results and SAFETRACE.. • Identified documented and communicated system problems in the Development and Production environments. • Evaluated current processes and procedures and what the future workflows and procedures will be • Supported the Laboratory build in Cerner’s PowerChart application in regards to new tests, building orders, Order Sets, Event Codes and the hierarchy. • Installed new systems and trained end users. • Responsible for monitoring and keeping the Add-on-the-fly results current • Completed Certification Guidelines and regression testing when Service Packages are loaded into the Production or Development domain. • Coordinated integrated testing with the Legacy systems and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the testing whether build or interface related. • Supported Go-Lives (CPOE, Powerchart, PharmNet etc..) • Rotated on call support for Production • Performed regression, unit, functional and integrated testing when needed
