Daily Duties at University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center:
• Work with Legacy systems in regards to new interfaces, issues with existing interfaces and troubleshooting issues in the Production and Development domains. I am also involved in the specification meetings for new interfaces and all testing that is needed to implement an interface. • Identified, documented and communicated system problems in the Development and Production environments. • Evaluated current processes and procedures and what the future workflow and procedures will be. • Supported the Laboratory, Radiology and Carenet build in Cerner’s PowerChart application in regards to building new tests and orders, aliasing of code sets, Order Sets, Event Codes and the hierarchy. • Worked with the interfaces for Epic • Order build based on the needs of the specific department and/or facility such as Patient Care, Radiology, laboratory etc.. • Was responsible for monitoring, building, loading and troubleshooting the Event Codes and Event Sets. • Was responsible for monitoring and keeping the Add-on-the-fly results current • Installed new systems and trained end users. • Provided documentation for new functionality as it is made available to users • Supported Go-Lives (CPOE including clinical documentation, PowerChart, Firstnet, PhamNet and other Cerner applications) • Rotated on call support for Production • Monitored the interface error logs, and resolve the errors that are generated. This usually involves working with the Legacy system. • Performed regression, unit, functional and integrated testing when needed. • Completed Certification Guidelines and regression testing when Service Packages are loaded into the Production or Development domain. • Actively engaged in the Medication Reconciliation process and design for multiple hospitals within the organization • Worked with report writers to design and develop reports that are based on users requests and specifications. This entails validating the correct data is being pulled to the report, and meets the end users needs. • Oriented and train new employees
