Daily Duties at Department Of Defense Joint Staff:
While assigned to the Joint Staff, I executed three different roles: As a project manager in the Battlespace Awareness Functional Capability Board (BA FCB) I was responsible for managing five future intelligence capability programs where I coordinated and managed future intelligence capabilities and programs through the Joint Requirements Oversight Committee (JROC) process and advised senior members of the JROC on the status and progress of programmatics. As the Executive Officer to the ISAF Director of Intelligence (CJ2) in Afghanistan, I was responsible for managing and coordinating executive level meetings, calendar, schedule, appointments, and travel for a two star general officer. I researched, assembled and analyzed data to prepare reports and documents and presentations on the CJ2s behalf, and managed CJ2 taskings and requirements; monitored, responded to and distributed incoming communications. I also coordinated project-based work, reviewed operating practices and implemented improvements where necessary. As the JCS Presentations Branch Chief, I was responsible for leading the team that authors, edits, produces, and disseminates the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) Daily Intelligence Briefing. I supervised six analysts, two graphic technicians, and two contractors, and I produced over 1000 intelligence products for the Director of Intelligence (J2) for presentation to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
