Daily Duties at Uhlich Childrens' Advantage Network:
I was promoted to the Principal position from the Assistant Principal position and served as the educational leader by managing the policies, regulations, and procedures that ensured all students were supervised in a safe learning environment that met the approved curricula and mission of the school and District. I managed day-to-day operations of this therapeutic school for SED, BD, and LD students which included coordinating activities and communicating between the Social Work and Crisis Intervention Teams, teachers, and students to appropriately implement established curriculum and individual student behavior management plans. I facilitated informal staff meetings, formal staff and grade level meetings, and provided administrative support to internal school committees such as PBIS, RTI, Program Instruction, and Program Advisory committees. I contributed additional administrative support for students grades 4-8 in standardized testing with ISAT Supervised and directed school scheduling, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations. I worked collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school staff and communicated effectively with parents in support of ensuring each student was able to achieve academic excellence. At the time Uhlich Academy needed transformative leadership to provide a cohesive team, and consistency and in order to reach that goal
What they like about Uhlich Childrens' Advantage Network:
Working for a company with an emphasis on social values and helping society is a clear and important priority for you - a critical factor in who you choose to work for. In contrast to other factors, you place an organization's reputation for fairness and concern for the community above most other aspects of the company. As you search for a new job opportunity, it is usually possible to find out if the company is involved in the community and/or if it is addressing problems and issues in society. Pay special attention to non-profit organizations and those specifically involved in social action. Moreover, speaking with current and former employees should enlighten you to perceptions of the fairness of the company's leaders and the treatment of employees.
