Daily Duties at Kitty Hawk International:
Responsible for Inspection on a fleet of Boeing 727 aircraft,. also responsible to accomplish road trips when an aircraft is down needing maintenance carrying parts and material to get aircraft back in the air. They don't bring in revenue sitting on the ground, especially the postal service installs a major fine if the aircraft delivers late. I was also certified Airworthiness Release, Delegated Inspection, "RII" (required inspection items) authorization, Engine Run-up and Aircraft Taxi. I was also responsible for what was called C-NET for the postal service (Central Network) in Blyville Arkansas at Christmas time for 21 days for three years. I ran the maintenance and inspection aspects of the aircraft that were involved in the network actions. Kitty Hawk was responsible for maintaining the operations along with the FAA of many airfreight companies including Fed-Ex, UPS, Evergreen, Express One, DHL. My job was to insure that all companies involved in "C-NET" were ready to go to there destination by the end of each day. This project was a mandatory issue that the Postal Office Service required that there is an on time or get fined if any mail our packages were not delivered on time.
