Daily Duties at Rodgers Welding Supply Inc:

Continue my duties as Sales Manager I had the added responsibilities of marketing and advertising our brand. I had our log digitized so we can have it embroidered on shirts and jackets for our employees and a few customers. I would order a variety of pens and other promotional items like leather drink coasters, to keep our name if front of the customer. I worked with Thomas Regional Directory to create an on-line catalog with ordering capabilities. I selected numerous vendor catalogs and selected any product we had available to our customers for inclusion into our online catalog. This was a very extensive job and took a lot of time to review each catalog, category, page and then each item for accuracy. I handled all phone book advertising. I would meet with the agent and discuss, negotiate current ad sizes and what we wanted to get out of it. Was able to reduce the size of print and increase our web site presence through the yellow pages. I was named the Safety Director to insure all employees where doing their jobs correctly and safely. I ran safety meetings monthly. I went to OSHA seminars and training. I organized a mock OSHA Audit to see where we were and what we needed to change in order to create a safe work environment. I had implemented a plan to correct all the deficiencies in our building that OSHA would have found and possibly fined us over. All improvements were made within a 3 month period.
