Daily Duties at Texas Medical Center:

• Designed, Space Programmed and Project Managed/ Coordinate the TMC office Renovations on time and within budget. • Data collection, management and dissemination as well as Data Analysis using GIS, Microsoft Access, and or Excel. • Storing and Organization of multiple types of databases to as well as provide an easy way to access data for various uses. • Created Space Planning Standards to accommodate TMC’s work environment which included 3 separate office sizes defined by position and title. • Document/ Data Management - I was in charge of document management for over 200 facilities from the following categorties: o CAD - Computer Aided Design (Organized thousands of electronic files pertainent to the construction/ modifications). o Facilities Construction As-Built Documents - Provided intranet access to all construction files needed by various departments for construction and auditing purposes etc... o Information Dissemination - In charge of collecting data, managing and disseminating data for construction, re-model, as-built archiving. I also compiled data for historic use. • John P. McGovern Commons Food Court/ Starbuck’s Renovation. I was tasked to come up with ideas to create unique areas near Starbuck’s where visiting customers would utilize the space and provide a better ambiance. I designed two spaces; one where customers could sit, relax and watch their favorite programs on Large LCD TVs, two a comfortable area where customers could study or conduct meeting and study sessions. The space also utilized areas where laptops and other electronics can be used and recharged as needed. In addition to the seating areas, a warm and welcoming paint color was added to tie the entire design together. This enhanced the entire look and feel of the John P. McGovern Commons Food Court. • As Project Manager/ Administrator, create concepts in collaboration with a well known GIS firm in Houston. Texas Medical Center’s first GIS Web-based interface highlights over 25 data layers, a land ownership database which shows ownership history as far back as the 1940’s, as well as a comprehensive document management system for construction plans and close-out documents. • Accomplished in the field of land/ property dividing and trading between member institutions and TMC. • City of Houston Storm water taxation audit: As part of a team, I devised and executed a plan to challenge the non-pervious areas at Texas Medical Center as defined by the City of Houston. This resulted in the City of Houston reducing the fees in areas that were in question. • Mentor/ Team Leader to staff and inter-departmental team members.
