EXPERIENCE Benefits Manager Feb’ 01 to Present Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center Brooklyn, NY • Explains Company Benefits to New Hires at Orientation and also on a one on one basis. • Enrolls employees in various benefit plans as required. • Reconciliation of benefit plans on a monthly basis. • Negotiates renewals and changes with benefit vendors. • Liaison for different unions and employees regarding benefit issues. • Monthly submission of specific benefit reports to the various unions. • Presenting and coordinating Human Resource training sessions for employees and their supervisors. • Process cobra information, STD, LTD, transit check, Life Insurance and FSA. • Plan Administrator for the 403 B plans. • Submits monthly employee contribution for 403B to different companies. • Process pension and benefit reports for unions and non-union staff. • Interacts with Pension companies, HSRP and several unions • Liaison between Pension companies and retirees • Assist in the calculation of pensions for retirees • Prepares 5500’s for the various benefits plans annually. • Process all educational reimbursement. • Organize wellness Activities and Award ceremonies
