Daily Duties at Black Rock:
• Coordinate and develop annual budget and monthly forecast on revenue, expense and head count of an investment team with $1.3T asset under management • Prepare detailed commentary on monthly actual versus forecast variance analysis • Develop quarterly operating plan and provide analytics to measure the business performance against the plan • Create monthly presentation focusing on financial and operational measures to monitor and evaluate performance • Design automated reporting solutions synthesizing large dataset across multiple applications and platforms to improve efficiency on monthly processes • Help manage applicable financial systems and tools to identify efficiencies and improvements where appropriate • Present markets review, current industry issues and economic overviews to senior executives on a weekly basis • Partner with management on strategic planning and business development with data-driven insight • Lead and participate in ad hoc projects involving financial modeling and analytics under tight deadlines • Interact with team members and clients across seniority, functions and divisions on firm-wide initiatives
