Daily Duties at Us. Army, Engineer Battalion:

Responsible for the planning, coordinating and executing of battalion human resources support. Supervised the accomplishment of the human resource core competencies; (PRM) Personnel Readiness Management; (PASR) Personnel Accountability and Strength Reporting; (PIM) Personnel Information Management; (R5) Reception, Replacement, Return to Duty, Rest and Recuperation, Redeployment; Casualty Operations; (EPS) Essential Personnel Services; and Postal Operations. Directly supervised eight personnel in the daily operations of the battalion human resource section; managing the above aspects of Human Resources, except payroll and time keeping for a 485 personnel organization. Under the Personnel Readiness Management and Personnel Accountability and Strength Reporting competencies, coordinated and conducted numerous Soldier Readiness Checks (SRC’s) updating DD93s and SGLVs,(Emergency Notification Information) coordinated with the legal department for wills and Power of Attorneys (POAs). Consolidated, prepared and briefed the monthly Unit Status Reports (USR) with data on strength, availability of personnel, and made duty assignments of officers and enlisted personnel. Reviewed consolidated reports, statistics, applications, and prepared recommendations for personnel actions to higher headquarters. Reviewed and analyzed various reports, statements, and requests concerning personnel assignments, reassignments and other human resource matters. Assembled loss and requisition data to validate current manning strength; projected future shortfalls and discrepancies. Drafted reports identifying deficiencies, and requested corrective action through the personnel requisition system. Supervised clerical, postal and customer service duties of eight junior personnel. Coordinated sponsorship for incoming personnel and families. Performed and supervised administrative tasks, including forms management, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) updates. Developed or Updated SOPs for HR operations command programs; conducted briefings to senior command and staff on new processes and initiatives. Coached, mentored, and advised a diverse group of senior management personnel on HR-related strategic issues, supporting an organization of over 483 personnel; established credibility and built working relationships.
