Daily Duties at Us Army, Infantry Division:

Senior Human Resources Manager for Battalion S1. An office which serves as the hub for all HR operations for the organization. Responsible for Plans & Operations which included conducting HR mission and planning analyses, generating Courses of Actions (COAs), selecting a solution, and producing the results in an operations plan or order annex in support of mission requirements. Interfaced with all planning elements in the battalion and supporting agencies. Envisioned a desired HR end state in support of the operational commander’s mission requirements. Determined effective ways of achieving optimum HR support by communicating to subordinate HR providers and HR unit leaders the intent, expected requirements, and outcomes to be achieved in the support of an operational plan, operational order or annex. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of federal law, Army regulations and procedures governing the field of HR, with special emphasis on personnel accountability, personnel readiness, employee actions customer service and casualty reporting. Conducted HR mission and planning analyses. Act as HR Consultant and advises clients on various employee issues such as employee counseling, performance management, personnel movement and exit interviews. Improved processes and work towards standardization of process and practices in all areas of Human Resources delivery selecting a solution, and producing the results in an operations plan or order annex in support of mission requirements. Facilitated special projects as assigned within client groups. Envisioned a desired HR end state in support of the operational commander’s mission requirements; determines effective ways of achieving optimum HR support. Facilitates the performance management, succession planning, and career development planning such that the client is provided with prepared, qualified internal candidates and provides employees with career growth opportunities. Maintains compliance within client group with all applicable regulations concerning employment. Ensures accurate Human Resource Information System records within client group by actively coordinating HR data management activities within client groups. Establishes Human Resources visibility and fosters a positive employee relations environment within the client group via field visits and client leadership team participation. Proficiently planned, coordinated, developed and implemented a Plans and Operations Department on all aspects of HR support, supporting the Commanding Officer as a Senior Planner and Action Officer; interpreted and streamlined HR requirements and distribution of objectives for Department of the Army messages, policies, and regulations.
