Daily Duties at Ardent Software:
Hired to do Quality Assurance SQL testing, which involved learning the functional areas of UniData's SQL product, creating SQL Test Cases, and then integrating them into the Regression Test Suite. In addition to the SQL Quality Assurance I was hired to do, I became the ClearCase Administrator, maintaining all the VOBS (Versioned Object Base) for the UniData products, and creating ClearCase Views for the engineers to use to access any version of the UniData products. I was also appointed to be the Quality Assurance Team Leader, where I then began attending meetings with Management and Engineering to discuss the current projects QA was working on, and planning for future projects. I started producing a weekly report of all the QA Projects, which I distributed to QA, Engineering and Management to keep everyone informed. In addition to continuing my responsibilities with UniData SQL testing, I also started doing the UniVerse database builds when we acquired that product from our competition.
