Daily Duties at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point (Hca):
Providing compassionate direct nursing care to patients from different backgrounds, in a 290-bed acute-care Level II Trauma facility, with caseloads of 6:1 on a busy Orthopedic & Neuro Unit. Highly skilled in assessing patient’s physical and mental health by conducting interviews and listening to their concerns and needs. Able to recognize changes in patient’s status, adjust care and initiate interventions when needed. Analyze patient’s lab and test results to make appropriate recommendations to physicians. Enhancing patient’s health using a multi-disciplinary approach, while communicating with various therapies and resources (PT, OT, RT, ST, pharmacy, social work, chaplain, and physicians). Delegates duties and supervises staff CNAs. Manages cases, evaluates, and coordinates patient’s discharge with members of the healthcare team, providing outpatient services as needed. Repeatedly commended by patients and supervisors for outstanding quality of care.
