Daily Duties at Journey Church:
• Conducting extensive recruiting practices as the sole recruiter accountable for filling various management positions. • Building high capacity leaders and leadership teams • Performing a healthy needs assessment to further develop the organization. • Recruiting and developing both paid and volunteer staff for a church of 7,000 members. • Launching a new recruiting structure that successfully increased departmental effectiveness. • Overseeing interview processes. • Play a key role in ensuring the successful launch of a secondary location. • Negotiate employee salary offers and relocation packages for both exempt and nonexempt employees. • Responsible for updating and posting online jobs. • Developing training objectives, strategies, and delivery methods for all employees. • Evaluating trends to predict possible areas of development, working closely with other management. • Developing and executing weekly trainings. • Developing annual budgets, providing direct oversight to financial matters. • Implementing a personal development plan for all staff. • Strategically leading the development and implementation of large-scale community events. • Managing multi-departmental staff, resolving all staffing issues at multiple locations. • Leading employees successfully through an organizational restructure. • Overseeing production, scheduling, planning, and execution of weekly events for over 7,000 members. • Revising and developing job descriptions for two separate departments. • Devising creative and cost-effective incentive and morale-boosting programs (including special events and a tiered awards structure) that increased employee satisfaction and productivity. • Developing efficiency-enhancing workflow/process improvements that made it possible to accommodate increasing responsibilities necessitated by staff reductions.
