As an intern I attended various committee meetings and hearings for Natural Resources and Education and labor. I was also given responsibility to monitor the Indian Healthcare Improvement Act in its reauthorization status. I submitted memorandums from the different hearings as well as on issues that constituents raised concern on. I worked directly the legislative aids and the Congressman on designated issues that affected Indian Country.
