Daily Duties at United States Army:

Supervise and perform personnel and administrative functions; review personnel files; update training records and record personnel actions. Participate in occupational classification and manages human resources. Evaluate personnel qualifications for special assignments and prepare requests for transfers or reassignments. Prepare and maintain officer personnel files; review personnel casualty documents, initiate, monitor, and process personnel evaluations. Process personnel for separation and retirement; process applications for officer candidate school and process recommendations for awards and decorations. Monitor appointment of line of duty and summary court officer appointments, and posted changes to Army regulations and other publications. Provide technical guidance and training to subordinates and works directly with customers to ensure quality customer service. Perform daily maintenance of 2,000 personnel records on an automated data processing system; prepare correspondence, organizational charts and other reports for the human resources department. Assign personnel to jobs; provide career guidance, and assists personnel and their families who had special needs. Supervise, mentor and assists 10 junior enlisted soldiers for professional advancement.
